How the Large Hadron Collider’s Successor Will Hunt the Dark Universe

Planning is well underway for the successor to the world’s most powerful particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

The new “atom smasher”, called the Future Circular Collider (FCC), will make the LHC smaller in size and power. In fact, it will smash particles with so much energy that scientists say it may be able to probe the most mysterious entities in our universe: dark energy and dark matter.
